Caring for Your Rug

Avoid vacuuming over the edges and fringes, and if the rug is reversible, vacuum both sides and use the handheld attachment for the fringes.

Dealing with Folds and Curls

If your new area rug arrives with slightly curved corners due to packing, there are a couple of options to address this. You can simply lay the rug out upside down for a couple of days to allow its fibers to relax and flatten naturally. Alternatively, you can place a heavy object, like a book or a piece of furniture, on each corner for a couple of days to smooth out the curves. Be cautious of any tripping hazards during this process.
