For spill cleanup, promptly blot the stain with a clean white cloth, using lukewarm water for wool rugs and avoiding water or liquid on Viscose and Tencel rugs. Rinse with clean water and use dry towels to absorb any remaining moisture. When vacuuming, use canister vacuums without beater bars or gentle brooms, and turn off the beater bar for high-powered upright vacuums. Avoid vacuuming over the edges and fringes, and if the rug is reversible, vacuum both sides and use the handheld attachment for the fringes.

To address any initial curls or folds, simply lay the rug upside down for a couple of days to allow the fibers to relax and flatten naturally. Alternatively, place a heavy object, like a book or a piece of furniture, on each corner for a couple of days to smooth out the curves.
